Las Vegas Marathon
The Las Vegas Marathon is the city-signature road running event for the City of Las Vegas. The race is scheduled for January 10, 2027 and offers three official distances.
The event starts and finishes at The STRAT and the course runs along the Las Vegas Strip, passes Fremont Street, and goes by Springs Preserve. The entire course is on paved asphalt roads. Organizers classify the race as a Boston qualifier.
Distances offered:
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half marathon 13.1 miles
- 702 Race 7.02 miles
All three distances carry a course time limit of 6.5 hours. To finish before course closure, marathon runners must maintain about a 15:00 per mile pace and half marathon runners must maintain about a 30:00 per mile pace. Strollers are not allowed for any distance.
Packet pickup is not available on race morning; packets are distributed at the expo. Someone may pick up another participant’s packet if they present the participant’s ID and a written authorization. A packet mailing option is available for an additional fee when registering.
Earbuds are permitted on course, and organizers advise runners to keep volume low to remain aware of surroundings. The Launch Team is listed as the official nonprofit partner and offers youth-focused half marathon training and a free half marathon entry for participants aged 18 and under.
