Las Vegas 4th of July 5k & 10k
The Las Vegas 4th of July 5k & 10k is a road race held at Bruce Trent Park in Las Vegas, NV. The event offers two distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Courses are USATF certified. The route is described as walker friendly with some hills and multiple water and Gatorade stations approximately every 1.5 miles. The event uses cup-less water stations with foot pedal dispensers that allow hands-free filling at about 10 oz per second. Reusable cups are available for purchase for $3 at packet pickup or race day check-in. No disposable cups will be used.
Race packets include a bib with timing chip, an event t-shirt, an event hat, safety pins, and other race day items. Packet pickup is available the Friday before the race at Nike Summerlin (2010 Festival Plaza Dr, Las Vegas, NV) and optional pickup is available on Saturday or race morning. Parking is available near the start/finish location at 8851 Vegas Dr.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each race and to the top three in each age group male and female for all distances. Live race day results will be posted online. The organizer does not issue refunds but allows entry transfers to any other Elite Sports CA event within 12 months at no extra cost.
A sponsor and vendor expo is part of race day, and free post-race street tacos are provided for runners; additional plates are available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
