Larry Olsen 5K Classic and Kids Dash
The Larry Olsen 5K Classic and Kids Dash is an annual community road race organized by Tri-Valley Front Runners, held at Hopedale Parklands, 4 Hopedale Street at the corner of Hopedale and Dutcher Street. The event includes a 5K course and a separate Kids Dash.
Online registration is available through RunSignUp. Entry fees are $25 for participants aged 18 and under and for those 70 and older; $30 for other adult entrants with a $40 post-registration fee for late signups; the Kids Dash fee is $5. Registered participants aged 21 and over receive one complimentary beer from Rushford Brewery.
The race is named in honor of Larry Olsen, a founder of Tri-Valley Front Runners and a long‑time coach; he was inducted into the USATF Masters Hall of Fame in 2014. A course map is provided for the 5K. The event page lists past race results and photos from prior years.
Driving directions to Hopedale Parklands are provided from the Mass Pike and Route 495, from Route 146, and from Worcester via Route 122 and Route 140.
