About the race
The Larry Nicholas 8.2K Trail Run is a memorial trail race held in Mission Creek Regional Park in Kelowna, British Columbia. The main course is 8.2 km made up of three loops on established park trails. Runners leave the gravel trail after an initial stretch and follow a short steep climb before completing three marked loops that return to the start area.
This edition of the race will use the course in reverse from previous years. The event is self supported; there are no aid stations or water on the route, so participants should carry their own water and fuel. Parking at the park is limited; street parking is available on Durnin Road and vehicles parked on Springfield Road may be ticketed.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and for age groups in five year increments. A kids fun run takes place after the main race with two distance options.
