Larry Nicholas 8.2K Trail Run
The Larry Nicholas Memorial Trail Race is an 8.2K event held at Mission Creek Regional Park, 2363 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, Canada. The course is three loops on maintained park trails and includes gravel sections, a short steep climb, and a creek crossing via a bridge. This year the course will be run in reverse of previous layouts; participants should follow the posted map and course marshals.
Registration is available online and closes October 31 at 6:00 pm. Race-day registration is not available. Race package pick up is provided on the day of the event. The event is self-supported; there are no aid stations or water on the route, so runners must carry their own supplies.
Awards for the 8.2K include overall placings for male and female runners and age-group awards in five-year increments. Parking at the park is limited; street parking is available on Durnin Road and vehicles parked on Springfield Road may be ticketed. A post-race Kids Fun Run is offered with two approximate distances.
