Larry Don's 7 & 7K
Larry Don's 7 & 7K is a running event held in Gustine, Texas, coinciding with the local Gustine Homecoming festivities. The event serves to honor the memory of a community member and features multiple participation options centered at the Main Street Pavilion.
The event offers the following distances:
- 7 km (approximately 4.3 miles)
- 1 mile Fun Run
- Sleep-In Registration (virtual option for supporters)
Early registrants are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt and a shot glass. Participants in the 7 km race are eligible for various awards, including recognitions for overall male and female winners, masters categories, and specific rankings for the 7th and 77th finishers. Age group awards are also provided for three finishers in divisions ranging from 11 and under to 80 and over. Individuals choosing the virtual "Sleep-In" option receive event merchandise but are not eligible for awards or assigned a race bib.
The race takes place alongside several community activities throughout the day. These festivities include live entertainment under the pavilion, a parade, a community meal, and children's games. Other events scheduled for the day include a bake-off, a 42 tournament, and a cake and pie auction. Concessions are available on-site, providing breakfast options for attendees.
