Event overview
The Santa Scuttle is a 5K road event scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Comanche, Texas. The race is set on the Courthouse Square at 101 W Central, Comanche, TX 76442. Plans note this is the 16th annual Santa Scuttle and that the race is part of the town's Christmas Festivities running December 12-14, 2025. The event is hosted by Comanche High School seniors to raise funds for the Class of 2026 Project Graduation Celebration. Entry for the 5K includes a 2025 Santa Scuttle long sleeve t-shirt and a Santa hat; extra shirts may be purchased by the early registration deadline of November 14, 2025. T-shirt availability is guaranteed only for registrations received by that early deadline; no shirts will be available with race day registration.
Registration, awards, and weekend activities
Standard 5K fee information lists a $20 rate for participants 17 and under if registered before 11/14/25, and $30 for participants 18 and over. Registration closes on December 13, 2025. Packet pick-up and race day registration will take place on the courthouse steps. Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female finishers and to the top three finishers in each age group: 11 & under; 12-15; 16-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-79; 80 & over. The weekend itinerary includes a community tree lighting, Santa's Workshop, pictures with Santa, a lighted Christmas parade, a driving Christmas light tour, and a Tour of Homes; an ice skating rink is scheduled to operate on weekends through December 22.
