About the race
The Santa Scuttle is the 17th annual community 5K run and walk held in Comanche as part of the 2026 Christmas Festivities (December 11–13). The event takes place at Courthouse Square, 101 W Central, Comanche, Texas 76442. The seniors of Comanche High School organize the event to raise funds for the Project Graduation Celebration, a safe drug and alcohol free after-graduation party.
The event offers a 5K run/walk. Registration opens 2026-07-24 and closes 2026-12-12. Entry fees are listed as $30.00 for participants 18 and over, and $20.00 for participants 17 and under when registered before 2026-11-13. Entry for the 5K includes a 2026 Santa Scuttle long sleeve t-shirt and a Santa hat. A t-shirt is guaranteed only with early registration by 2026-11-13; no shirts will be available with race day registration. Extra shirts may be purchased by the early registration deadline.
Participants are encouraged to wear Christmas costumes. Medals will be awarded to the overall male & female finishers and to the top three finishers in age groups from 11 & under up to 80 & over.
