Event Overview
The Lansing Hot Cider Hustle is a seasonal running event held at Hawk Island Park in Lansing, Michigan. The course consists of entirely paved paths, taking participants through the natural scenery of the park during the autumn season. Participants can choose between chip-timed competitive categories or a fun run format.
Athletes can participate in one of three distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The event features a flat and fast course design. Support services include pacers for the half marathon to assist runners in reaching specific goal times, ranging from 2:00:00 to 2:45:00. Time limits are enforced for all distances, with 3 hours and 30 minutes allotted for the half marathon, 1 hour and 50 minutes for the 10K, and 1 hour and 20 minutes for the 5K.
Finishers receive commemorative items, which include hot apple cider and caramel apples. Participants are provided with a finisher mug, while half marathon finishers also receive a medal. Registration includes a choice of event gear, such as a classic t-shirt or a thin-tec pullover hoodie. The event supports a charitable cause, benefiting Special Olympics Michigan.
On-site amenities include limited parking at Hawk Island Park, which requires a small fee collected during registration.
