Event Overview

The Lamp for Haiti 5K is a charity run and walk taking place on Sunday, May 3, 2026. The event is held at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey.

Course & Details

The course is a USATF-certified 5K (3.1 mile) route. It starts on N 6th Street across from the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. The route runs down Park Drive West to 2nd Avenue, circles around, and proceeds on Park Drive East to finish back at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. Runners and walkers are welcome.

There are two registration options: a standard 5K Run and a discounted 5K Run Student Rate. Packet pickup occurs on race day at the registration and check-in area.

Beneficiary

This event is a fundraiser for the non-profit organization Lamp for Haiti. The organization works to improve the lives of marginalized people in Haiti by providing medical care and humanitarian assistance in collaboration with local communities and partners.

Awards
