Lamp for Haiti 5K
Lamp for Haiti 5K is a fundraising run and walk held on Sunday April 26, 2026 at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey. Events listed include a 5K (3.1 mile) run and a 5K run student rate. The race raises funds to benefit the non-profit Lamp for Haiti, which provides cost-effective medical care and humanitarian assistance and works with local partners to support marginalized communities in Haiti.
The course starts on North 6th Street across from the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, runs down Park Drive West to 2nd Avenue, circles around to Park Drive East, and finishes at the Cherry Blossom Welcome Center. The course is USATF certified. Both runners and walkers are welcome. Packet pickup is available on race day at registration and check in.
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in age categories beginning at 18-24 and continuing in five-year increments up to 75.
