Race details
The Lakeside Viking 5K is a 5K run/walk event. It begins and ends on the Lakeside High School track in Atlanta, Georgia, and the course runs through local neighborhoods. The race is a Peachtree race qualifier.
Schedule and logistics
Registration and packet pickup start at 7:00 a.m. on the track. A warm-up session is provided at 7:45 a.m. The race starts at 8 a.m. The course will be open for 1 hour and 40 minutes, which corresponds to a pace of 14 minutes and 30 seconds per mile.
Awards are presented beginning at 9:15 a.m. Categories include Top Overall Male and Female, and Masters Male and Female. There will also be drawings for door prizes from event sponsors.
Other information
The race is electronically timed, and results will be posted online immediately after the event. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. There are no refunds or registration transfers.
All proceeds from the event support the Lakeside High School Foundation, which funds programs to enhance education, athletics, and the arts at the school.
