Lakeside Double Sprint Triathlon
The Lakeside Double Sprint Triathlon is scheduled for May 22, 2026 at Lakeside Park, 7th Inning Splash, in Greenville, South Carolina. The event is part of the South Carolina Triathlon Series and uses a double sprint format in which the sprint sequence is completed twice in succession.
Distances for each sprint segment are:
- 250 yards swim, 8 miles bike, 2 miles run (per sprint)
The swim takes place in the outdoor 7th Inning Splash pool. The bike course is a single loop on rural roads in Greenville County. The run consists of two one mile loops, providing multiple viewing points for spectators and repeated passage for athletes.
There is a relay division where a team may consist of two or three members. Any team member may complete any part or parts of the event. Relay teams must make all exchanges inside the transition area and may not have more than three members.
Registration windows and fees are specified for each division: Sprint Triathlon registration opens October 1, 2025 and closes December 31, 2025 with a fee of $85. Sprint Relay registration opens October 1, 2025 and closes January 31, 2026 with a fee of $130. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
