About the race
The Lakes Entrance Running Festival is a two-day coastal running event on the Lakes Entrance foreshore in Lakes Entrance, VIC, held 31 October and 1 November 2026. It features measured, World Athletics certified courses for multiple distances and a finish-line festival with live music, food trucks and a pop-up brewery. Race distances include: - Marathon 42.195 km - Half Marathon 21.1 km - 10 km - 5 km - 2 km Course surfaces vary by distance. The Marathon and Half Marathon use concrete paths, bitumen roads and about 1 km of compact gravel per lap.
The 10 km, 5 km and 2 km run on concrete paths. Aid stations are provided approximately every 4 km on the longer courses; the 5 km and 2 km have no aid stations. Reported elevation gains are 180 m for the Marathon, 90 m for the Half Marathon, 14 m for the 10 km, 7 m for the 5 km and 1 m for the 2 km.
Minimum ages are 16 years for the Marathon and 12 years for the Half Marathon; other distances list no minimum age. The event is organised by Fit City Events and includes community activities such as a Friday evening shake-out run with the Bullock Island Running Club and volunteer shifts that earn VTeam points and race credits.
