About the race
The Metung Fun Run is an annual fundraiser for Metung Primary School supported by the Lions Club of Metung and powered by The HIIT Factory Bairnsdale. The 2026 event is scheduled for Sunday 8 November 2026.
The event offers a range of course options to suit different ages and preferences:
- 10km Run
- 5km Run
- 5km Walk
- 1km Kids’ Colour Dash
Timed results are recorded for participants who register and record their time at the registration desk, with separate listings for the timed 5km and 10km runs. Online registration is available for the 2026 event. In 2025 the event registered over 400 participants, the highest number in its history, and photos from that year are available.
Organisers state that entry is at each participant's own risk and that the event, its organisers, sponsors and volunteers cannot be held responsible for damage, accidents, theft or incidents. Items left unattended on the day are left at the owner’s risk. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
