Lakeland Paws: Whinlatter Tails
Lakeland Paws: Whinlatter Tails is an off-road running event at Whinlatter on 7 February 2027. It is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. Entries open on 27 April 2026 and close on 6 February 2027. The minimum age to enter is 16 and the entry fee is £20.
There are two course options offered:
- 10k route with 380 m of ascent
- 5K route with 200 m of ascent
The courses combine forest roads and trails and are described as less technical than the Seat How route. The route will be marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files are available for download. Individual starts are used so that dogs have space at the start. Two dogs are allowed per runner and runners may also compete without a dog.
Organisers reserve the right to change the course if necessary because of works in the forest, but the event will remain at Whinlatter.
