Lakeland Paws: Whinlatter Tails
Lakeland Paws returns to Whinlatter for a South side route that follows forest roads and trails. The organiser reserves the right to alter the course because of forest works, but the event will take place at Whinlatter. The South side route is described as more undulating than some other Lakeland Paws routes.
The event uses individual starts so that dogs have space at the start. Two dogs are allowed per runner and competitors may run without dogs. The courses are chip timed, will be waymarked, and GPX files are available for download.
There are two course options:
- 10K
- 5K - 200 m of ascent, recommended for beginners or those seeking an easier route
The event is scheduled for 7 February 2027. Minimum age to enter is 16. Entry fee is £20. Entries open 27 April 2026 and close 6 February 2027 at 12:00. The event is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
