Lakeland Paws: Whinlatter Tails
Lakeland Paws returns to Whinlatter for an event on 7 February 2027. The planned route uses the South side of the forest and is described as more undulating than some other Lakeland Paws courses. Organisers note the course is a mix of forest roads and trails and is less technical than the Seat How route. Because of forest works the exact course may change, but the event will take place at Whinlatter.
There are two course options:
- 10 km - 380 m of ascent
- 5 km - 200 m of ascent; recommended for beginners or those seeking an easier route
The event uses individual starts so that dogs have space at the start, and two dogs are allowed per runner. Runners may also compete without dogs. The course will be marked and the event is chip timed. GPX files are available for download.
