Event details

The Lakeland Paws Whinlatter Tails Night Run takes place on 28 February 2026 at Whinlatter Forest. It is the first night run in the Lakeland Paws series and is organised by Green Space Events Ltd. Entries open 25 July 2025 and close 27 February 2026. The minimum age to take part is 16 or older. The entry fee is £19. The event is chip timed and the course will be marked. GPX files are available for download.

Course and rules

The event uses the south-side, undulating route at Whinlatter. The surface is a mix of forest roads and trails. Individual starts will be used so dogs have space at the start. Two dogs are allowed per runner on this route. Runners may also compete without dogs.

Distances offered:

10k route with 380 m of ascent
5K route with 200 m of ascent
