Lakefront 10 Miler & 5K
The Lakefront 10 Miler & 5K is a spring road race held at Montrose Beach in Lincoln Park, Chicago. The event offers two distances with courses that run along the Chicago lakefront and finish on the Wilson Track after a climb up and over Cricket Hill.
- 10 Mile: Lakefront course with a Cricket Hill climb and track finish.
- 5K: Lakefront loop including Montrose Harbor and Cricket Hill finish.
Course details describe the 10 Mile heading along the Lakefront Trail with a turnabout near North Avenue, an underpass at Diversey, and a final straightaway on Wilson Track. The 5K follows the trail past Foster Beach and Montrose Harbor before the Cricket Hill and track finish.
Event amenities include a quarter-zip, finisher medals for both distances, overall and age-group awards, prize money for the top three 10 Mile finishers (First $500, Second $350, Third $150), and post-race beverages. The 10 Mile is part of the Chicago Racing Circuit. Packet pick-up is offered at Fleet Feet locations before race day. Registration includes member pricing options and a CARA supporter early price tier. Registration closes on April 10.
