Lakefront 10 Miler & 5K
The Lakefront 10 Miler & 5K is a spring road race presented by Fleet Feet and organized by the Chicago Area Runners Association. The event takes place at Montrose Beach in Lincoln Park, Chicago on Sunday, April 11, 2027. It features two distances:
- 10 Mile
- 5K
Both courses run along the Chicago lakefront and begin on Wilson Track. Each route follows the Lakefront Trail and finishes by going up and over Cricket Hill and along the final straightaway of Wilson Track. The 10 Mile route includes a turnabout near North Avenue and uses the Lakefront Trail and the Diversey underpass.
Race services include chip timing, a race shirt, a custom keepsake bib, finisher medals for both distances, packet pick-up, gear check, post-race beverages, bike racks near the start, and a nearby Divvy station. Results are posted live and available at a results tent.
Awards are given to the top three overall finishers in male, female, and non-binary categories for both distances. Prize money for the 10 Mile is awarded to the top three finishers: $500, $350, and $150. Age-group recognition is provided for defined age ranges for each race.
A portion of event proceeds supports CARA's Lakefront Hydration Stations, which provide water and Gatorade Endurance at multiple locations along the lakefront. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
