Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon
The event is a single-lap Half Marathon that starts and finishes in the village of Llanwddyn. The route runs clockwise around Lake Vyrnwy and is described by the organiser as an extremely fast course that offers views all the way around. The course record is 1.02.14. Finishers receive a unique medal, water and a cereal bar. Prizes are awarded to the top three female and top three male finishers and to 14 age-group winners (seven female, seven male). The charity partner is to be confirmed.
Location and logistics
Race HQ and the start/finish area will feature music, flags and a help desk for last-minute issues. The race village is about a five-minute walk from the event car park. All runners and spectators must use the event car park in Llanwddyn, Powys, SY10 0LT; there is no other car parking at the village or the lake. The location is rural with a single access road, so participants should allow extra travel time. There is no baggage drop; organisers advise leaving belongings in vehicles. The event includes a generous race cut-off time to allow all participants to return before public roads are fully reopened. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
