Event Information
The Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, 13th September 2026. It is a 21.1 km race starting and finishing in the village of Llanwddyn, Powys. The route is one clockwise lap around Lake Vyrnwy and is described as extremely fast.
The Route and Experience
The course starts and finishes in Llanwddyn. The race village and start/finish area is a five-minute walk from the event car park. A warm-up is scheduled before the race start. Participants receive a unique finisher's medal, water, and a cereal bar. The organizers state there is a generous race cut-off time.
Practical Details
All participants and spectators must park at the designated event car park in Llanwddyn (SY10 0LT), as the area is described as extremely rural with one road in. There is no other parking available. Participants are advised to leave their belongings in their cars as there is no baggage drop-off service.
Awards
Awards are given for the top three female and top three male finishers overall. There are also 14 age group awards (seven female and seven male). A course record of 1:02:14 is noted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
