Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon

The Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 13th September 2026 and starts and finishes in the village of Llanwddyn, Powys. The event follows a single clockwise lap of Lake Vyrnwy and is described by the organiser as a fast course with views around the lake. A course record of 1.02.14 is listed.

Race headquarters and the finish area feature music, flags and a help desk. The race village is a short walk from the event car park. All spectators and runners must use the event car park in Llanwddyn SY10 0LT; there is no other parking at the lake. The location is rural with a single access road, and the organiser advises allowing extra time for travel.

At the finish runners receive a unique finisher medal, water and a cereal bar. There is no baggage drop so runners are asked to leave belongings in their cars. The organiser offers a generous race cut off time to allow participants to complete the route before public roads reopen.

Prizes are awarded to the top three female and top three male finishers and to 14 age group winners, seven female and seven male. A charity partner is to be confirmed and route details are available via the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
