Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon
The Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon is a one lap road race that starts and finishes in the village of Llanwddyn. The course runs clockwise around Lake Vyrnwy and provides views around the lake. The event has a recorded course best of 1.02.14. The event is sold out.
The Race Start and Finish area forms the race village and will include music, flags and a help desk at Race HQ. The race village is a short five minute walk from the event car park. There is no baggage drop, so runners are asked to leave belongings in their cars.
At the finish each runner receives a unique finishers medal, water and a cereal bar. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers and to 14 age group winners, seven female and seven male. The event lists a charity partner as TBC.
The event location is rural with a single road in. Parking is provided at the event car park in Llanwddyn, Powys SY10 0LT and there is no other car parking available in Llanwddyn or at the lake. The organisers provide a generous race cut off time to allow participants to return to the finish before public roads reopen. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
