Event overview
The Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon is scheduled for 13th September 2026. The race starts and finishes in the village of Llanwddyn and follows a one-lap, clockwise route around Lake Vyrnwy. The course record is listed as 1:02:14. Organisers describe the route as fast and say it offers views around the lake.
Logistics and awards
The event is based in a rural location with a single access road, so extra travel time is advised. All runners and spectators must use the event car park in Llanwddyn (SY10 0LT); the race village is a short five-minute walk from the car park and there is no other parking at the lake. The Race HQ start/finish area will include music, flags and a help desk. Runners are asked to leave bags in their cars because no baggage drop is provided. At the finish, participants receive a finishers medal, water and a cereal bar. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male finishers, plus 14 age-group winners (seven female and seven male). The event has a race cut-off time so roads can be reopened to the public after the field returns. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
