Lake Terramuggus Olympic Triathlon
The Lake Terramuggus Olympic Triathlon takes place at Blish Park in Marlborough, Connecticut. The event is scheduled for August 15, 2026, and offers three distinct participation options for athletes. The race course follows a similar layout to the local sprint triathlon series held at the same location, featuring moderate hills on both the cycling and running portions.
Participants can choose from the following event formats:
- Olympic Tri: A standard distance event consisting of a 1600 yard swim, a 25 mile bike ride, and a 10K run.
- Olympic Relay Tri: A team version of the standard Olympic distance event.
- Aquabike: A multi-sport option involving the swim and bike portions of the course.
A time limit is enforced for the cycling segment of the race. Athletes are required to be off the bike course within 2 hours and 45 minutes of the start of the second wave. The event aims to provide a training opportunity for athletes of various experience levels within the local community. The triathlon is held at Lake Terramuggus, providing a familiar environment for those who have participated in local summer sprint events.
