Lake Run - Shell Lake, WI
Lake Run is a community running event held in Shell Lake that raises funds for the Lakeland Family Resource Center, a non-profit that provides free support, education and activities for families in and around Washburn County. The event takes place during Shell Lake’s Town & Country Days weekend and includes multiple races with paved, flat courses.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 Miles (out-and-back near Shell Lake)
- 9 Miles (scenic loop around Shell Lake, flat paved surface)
- 40 Yards (kids dash on blacktop)
Awards and categories include medals for first and second male and female finishers in each adult age division and overall male and female awards for the main races. Adult age divisions are grouped by ranges such as 18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The kids dash uses age divisions including 0-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, and 9-10, with medals for first place in each child age group.
