Lake Quivira Triathlon
The Lake Quivira Triathlon takes place on September 5, 2026, around Lake Quivira in the Kansas City area. The race uses a flat course that combines open-water swimming, road cycling, and a road run along the lake community.
The race distances are:
- 500 meter swim in Lake Quivira
- Approximately 9 miles of cycling in two loops on scenic roads around the lake
- 5K run toward the official finish line
The event has a participant cap of 120 and an age minimum of 14 years. Relay entries are allowed in two-person or three-person teams. A separate kids fun run is held with a starting line at the bottom of Pawnee and finishes toward the triathlon finish line.
