Lake Monster 5K, 12K and 1.5 Mile Walk
The event takes place at Veteran's Memorial Park, 12200 NYS Route 12E, Chaumont, NY, on May 24, 2026. Distances offered include:

- 12K
- 1.5 mile walk
The 12K is a scenic loop around Point Salubrious along the Lake Ontario shoreline with views of Guffin, Sawmill and Chaumont Bay and Cherry Island. The 5K follows the same direction as the 1.5 mile walk and is an out and back route; the 5K course is described as flat with a few hills. The 1.5 mile walk is not timed.
Registration opens March 1 and closes May 3. Registration fees are stated as $45 for the 5K and 12K and $35 for the 1.5 mile walk. Pre registration includes a T shirt if completed by April 30; registrations after April 30 do not include a T shirt. All registrations are online only; no paper or cash will be accepted. Limited T shirts may be available for purchase on race day.
Restroom facilities will be available on site; there will be no showers. Prizes are listed for the top male and female finishers in both the 5K and the 12K, and the top male and female winners in the 12K receive a lake monster trophy.
