Lake Manchester Trails : Lake Manchester, QLD
Lake Manchester Trails is a trail running event held on Sunday 16 August 2026 at Lake Manchester, QLD 4306. The event offers multiple distance options and runs on marked trails that follow the western shore, pass the dam and include a loop with river crossings.
Distances:
- 1 km Kids Dash (under 9)
- 1 km Junior Dash (9-12)
- 5 km (over 10s)
- 10 km (16 and over)
- 23 km (18 and over; 4 hour cut-off)
Course notes: the 23 km route follows the reserve, goes past the dam, circles the far end of the lake with four river crossings, and returns along the western shore. The 10 km course follows the 23 km course to the log cabin then returns. The 5 km course runs up past the dam and around the headland before returning.
Aid and safety: water stops are provided at about 5 km, 7 km and 11 km, giving one stop for 10 km runners and five for 23 km runners. Food at the 11 km checkpoint is limited. Tailwind electrolytes are available on course. A paramedic will be on site and first aid kits are at key locations.
Logistics and rules: there is a no disposable cups policy, so participants should bring a reusable container. Pets are not permitted on the course or start/finish area. Event proceeds go to the TRAQ Charity Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
