Lake Antoine Classic

The Lake Antoine Classic is a multi-discipline sporting event held in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This fundraiser supports the Special Olympics, with all race proceeds and donations directed to the organization. The event takes place at Lake Antoine County Park and features a variety of distances and modes of participation, including running, walking, and cycling.

Athletes can select from several different trail and road courses based on their chosen event:

  • 15K Run
  • 15K Bike
  • 5 Mile Run
  • 5 Mile Walk
  • 5K Run
  • 5K Walk

The 15K Run and 15K Bike routes pass through the Fumee Lake Natural Area. These courses consist of mostly flat, unpaved scenic trails. Participants in the cycling event are required to wear helmets.

The 5 Mile and 5K events for both runners and walkers follow a flat, paved path around Lake Antoine. This paved surface is suitable for participants using strollers. Leashed dogs are permitted at the event.

The running events are categorized as competitive, with overall awards presented to the top three male and female finishers. Age group awards are also provided across ten different categories ranging from age 11 and under to 70 and over. The walking and biking events are non-competitive. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
