Lage Vuursche Trail
The event is a trail run on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug that uses many single tracks, sand paths and forest paths. Routes run from Kampeerterrein De Zeven Linden, located in a natural area.
The course passes surprising old lanes and runs through a historic landscape. The longest route reaches Kasteel Groeneveld near Baarn; other routes run past Soestdijk and Drakensteyn. Courses feature many old trees and large heath fields and include open plains between Lage Vuursche and Soest.
Participants can choose from several looped distances that all return over the open plains. All distances are fully waymarked with arrows and tape. The description notes local variety in terrain and landscape, with sections that show different parts of the area around Lage Vuursche.
A separate Petzl Night Trail starts on Friday from Landgoed Ginkelduin; that event is mentioned as being possible to combine with other nearby trails.
