About the race
The Lage Vuursche Trail is a trail running event based at Kampeerterrein De Zeven Linden in Baarn on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. The routes travel through a historic area between Soest, Baarn and Lage Vuursche and use the open plains, large heath, old lanes and woodland around the estate.
Participants choose whether to run one, two or three loops. Each loop is approximately 10 km, creating the following distances:
- 10 km
- 21 km
- 30 km
The course offers many single tracks, sandy and forest paths, and routes that pass Kasteel Groeneveld, Soestdijk and Drakensteyn. All loops are fully marked with arrows and tape. Aid and refreshments are available after each loop at the start/finish location. No disposable cups are provided, so participants should bring their own racecup if needed.
Additional event features mentioned include a pop-up Trailrunning Shop with apparel and gear, the opportunity to test Merrell shoes on the routes, and an optional event medal that can be ordered separately. Organizers do not share a GPX file for this event. The event finishes and returns to the same basecamp where the start, aid station and finish are located.
