Event Details
The event offers a 5k and a 1 Mile run or walk. It takes place in Evans City, Pennsylvania. Parking, the start, the finish line, and post-race activities are all at 400 Old Route 68.
The Course
The 5k course goes through rolling hills on Old Route 68, Needlepoint, and Dufford Roads. The 1 mile route is described as picturesque.
Post-Race and Prizes
After the run, there is a celebration. It includes an award ceremony, lunch, raffle baskets, and a 50/50 draw. The top male and female finishers will have their names engraved on a trophy. Prizes are also given to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top three in each age group. Every participant can enter a draw for a door prize.
Purpose
The event supports the Evans City Public Library. It is organized by the Patti J. Nelson Foundation, which was created to honor Patti Nelson. The foundation helps fund the library so it can stay open all year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
