Event Overview
The Jenny Lee Tri Cup is a multi-day triathlon event held at Brady’s Run Park in Beaver Falls. It features a variety of race formats for different age and skill levels, including draft-legal and non-drafting competitions.
Race Categories
The event includes several categories:
- Open Adult Races: Draft-legal super sprint events for men and women aged 16 and older, held over two days with a preliminary and final format. Prize money is awarded.
- Junior Elite Races: Draft-legal races for athletes aged 16-19.
- Youth Elite Races: Draft-legal races for athletes aged 13-15.
- Youth Age Group Races: Non-drafting events for ages 6-10 and 11-12 with shorter distances.
- Adult Super Sprint: A non-drafting event for ages 13 and older.
- Middle & High School Race: A non-drafting super sprint for ages 13-19.
Course and Distances
Most elite and junior races follow a super sprint format: a 375m swim, 10k bike, and 2.5k run. Youth age group distances are shorter, such as a 100m swim, 5k bike, and 1k run for the youngest participants. The bike and run courses feature rolling hills.
Venue and Amenities
The event takes place at Brady’s Run Park, a large park near the Beaver River. The park roads are closed for the races. Participants have access to the park's recreation center, which offers hot showers and a large facility for packet pickup.
