Lace Up for LUCY Camden 5K
This event is a community 5K run/walk held at Cooper’s Poynt Waterfront Park, 801 Delaware Avenue, Camden, NJ 08102. The event benefits programs and services for children and teens in Camden city and throughout Camden County, operated by LUCY Outreach.
The distance is 5K and the course runs along the Delaware River. Race timing is provided by Bryn Mawr Racing Co and official results will be posted by the timing company. Awards include overall and age group prizes with top three overall and top three in each age category: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over.
Entry fees are stated as $40.00 for pre-registration with a cutoff of September 19, and $50.00 for same day registration. Amenities listed for participants include a T-shirt in sizes XS through XXL, a light breakfast and post-race refreshments, and a water station. Gift cards are planned for the top three overall finishers and age group award winners.
LUCY Outreach serves Camden County youth ages 7 to 19 by providing after school, evening, weekend, and summer programming plus support services for families. LUCY also hosts the Camden County family crisis unit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
