Labor Day 5K Classic
The Labor Day 5K Classic is the 44th annual running event held on September 7, 2026, in Washington, Pennsylvania, with a finish near Alpine Club Lanes at 735 Jefferson Avenue. The course is a point-to-point route that begins at the Stone Pavilion in Washington Park and follows the streets of Washington to the finish. The course has a net elevation drop of over 350 feet from start to finish and will be electronically chip-timed. Organizers report that hundreds of personal records have been set on this course.
The event includes both runners and walkers with multiple age categories. Age groups for runners, male and female, are: Age 11 and under; 12-15; 16-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-69; 70+. Age groups for walkers, male and female, are: 12 and under; 13-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+.
Shirts are guaranteed to all participants who pre-register by August 16, 2026. Participants who plan to run or walk with a child in a stroller or carrier must register as a participant; the child cannot register separately. A parent or legal guardian must sign a waiver for any child in a stroller or carrier and must place the provided tag(s) visibly on the stroller or carrier.
