Haunted Heroes 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon : Long Beach Shoreline Path
The Haunted Heroes event on October 3, 2026 takes place along the Long Beach Shoreline Path in Belmont Shores at 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA. The course is an open beach path that uses marked out-and-back loops; participants are asked to be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.
Distances offered include:
- 5 km out-and-back loop
- 10 km two 5 km loops
- 15 km three 5 km loops
- Half marathon three 4.36 mile loops
An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start and finish and supplies water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course maps are provided for the routes.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, live results at finish, trophies and achievement badges, and access to the A Better World Running app with race tracking and media. Volunteers can earn a free race entry. There is a no refund policy and transfers require organizer approval.
Parking is free in nearby residential areas; beach lots require payment by machine or Passport Parking app zone 9372. Race day registration accepts credit card, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal with published fees for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
