Event details
La French Run is the 5th edition of an annual running event organized by Alliance Française of Calgary. It takes place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Glenmore Park - Weaselhead Natural Area Parking. The 2025 edition had 270 runners and 25 volunteers. Registration opens November 1 and admission prices vary.
Race options
- 5 km - run or walk
- 10 km - run
- 1 km - kids run (ages 4 to 10; parents may run beside their children at no extra cost)
The 5 km and 10 km races are open to adults and teenagers aged 12 and above. Runners are not allowed to run with a stroller or a dog. Teams of 10 people or more are eligible for a group discount.
Prizes and participant items
Prizes are awarded for top finishers in the women’s and men’s categories for the 5 km and 10 km. Awards include gift cards and partner services with stated values for first, second, and third places. The kids 1 km awards include small prizes and an Alliance Française tote bag. If a minor places in the top three, some partner gift cards will be replaced later by an alternative partner gift card of equal value.
All participants receive a medal, a marinière-style t-shirt, and a gift card from Yann Haute Pâtisserie. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
