Event
La French Run 2026 is the fifth edition organised by the Alliance Française of Calgary. It takes place on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at North Glenmore Park near the Weaselhead Natural Area parking, along the Glenmore Reservoir.

The 5 km and 10 km routes are direct out-and-back courses on the running path overlooking the reservoir. The 10 km route also runs along the Earl Grey Golf Course. The kids fun run is a 1 km out-and-back on the same path. Main races are open to adults and teenagers; the kids run is for children aged 4 to 10. Runners are not allowed to run with a stroller or a dog.
Logistics and prizes
Registration uses tiered pricing, with separate youth entry prices for selected age groups. Race package pick-up is available at the Alliance Française location and at Strides Running Store in Marda Loop in the days before the race. After finishing, participants can taste French pastries at the finish area. Prize categories for top finishers include gift cards for the 5 km and 10 km events; the kids top three receive small prizes plus a tote. Every participant receives a medal, a marinière-style t-shirt, and a gift card from Yann Haute Pâtisserie. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
