La French Run
The fifth edition of La French Run takes place on September 20, 2026, in Calgary. This anniversary event introduces a new starting location at Stanley Park, near the 42nd Avenue parking lot. The routes utilize the running paths along the river, featuring autumn scenery within the city's green spaces.
The event offers several distance options:
- 10 km: an out and back route along the river that continues west into River Park.
- 5 km: an out and back route on the running path following the river.
- 1 km: a dedicated fun run for children aged 4 to 10.
The 5 km event is open to both runners and walkers. For safety and coordination, participants are not permitted to run with strollers or dogs. After crossing the finish line, a tasting of French pastries is provided for participants.
Race package pick-up is scheduled in the days prior to the event at the Alliance Française of Calgary and at Strides Running Store in Marda Loop. The run serves as a fundraising platform for the Alliance Française of Calgary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
