La French Run 2026
La French Run returns for its 5th edition on Sunday September 20, 2026 at Stanley Park in SW Calgary. The 2025 edition welcomed 270 runners and 25 volunteers.
The event offers several race options and age categories. Distances and formats include:
- 5 km run or walk
- 10 km run
- 1 km kids run for ages 4 to 10; parents may run alongside at no extra cost
The 5 km and 10 km courses follow a scenic, runnable route. Participation is open to adults and teenagers aged 12 and above. Running with a stroller or a dog is not allowed.
After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy a tasting of authentic French pastries. Prizes for top finishers in the 5 km and 10 km categories include gift cards and other rewards. Kids in the 1 km receive a swag package with a medal, a marinière-style t-shirt and a gift card.
Admission fees vary by registration option. Organizers offer a group rate for teams of 10 people or more. The event is also recruiting 30 volunteers to assist on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
