Event overview
La Cuesta Ranch Trail Run takes place on January 24, 2026 at La Cuesta Ranch, 2400 Loomis Street, just outside San Luis Obispo, CA. The event offers timed trail distances on ranch land and trails that back up to Poly Canyon and West Cuesta Ridge. The start and finish area is staged at the historic ranch barn. Registration includes a well marked course, fully stocked aid stations at approximately every three miles, prepackaged foods, water and Hammer Nutrition products, a custom t-shirt, and awards for top male and female in each distance plus a custom finisher award. There are no refunds or deferrals for this event.

Course and cutoffs
All distances use dirt trail and ranch roads. The 10 km is a single loop in a counterclockwise direction with approximately 2000 ft elevation gain and -2002 ft elevation loss. The 20 km is two loops and the 30 km is three loops. Cutoff is set at 3 hours per loop.
Camping and parking
Onsite camping is available Friday, January 23, 2026 for a fee of $20.00 per vehicle, payable on arrival at Miossi Barn; camping is primitive and first-come. Onsite parking is $10.00 per vehicle, per day, payable on arrival at the La Cuesta Ranch main gate. Portable and fixed restrooms are available; open fires are not allowed.
