L.A. Chinatown Firecracker 5K/10K/Kiddie/PAW'er Dog Run/Walk & Bike Ride
The event takes place 02/20/2027 to 02/21/2027 at 943 N. Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90012. It is organized by a volunteer nonprofit, L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee, Inc., a 501(C)(3) organization. All proceeds are reinvested in the community to support elementary schools and other nonprofit organizations.
The program includes multiple race and ride options on-site and virtual choices for some distances:
- 1K Kiddie Run
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run/Walk
- 1 mile PAW'er Dog Walk
- 20 miles Fun Bike Ride
- 50 miles Half Century Bike Ride
- Virtual options for selected distances
Some events have participant restrictions and awards. Several classroom CLASS events are exclusively for current students of Castelar St., Solano Ave., Ann St., and Logan St. elementary schools. The Kiddie Run is approximately 1K, divided into two age groups, awards finisher medals, and has a maximum age of 12. Timed 5K and 10K events award winner medals to top age group finishers and overall male and female winners. The 20 mile bike ride is described as mostly level and aimed at beginner riders; the 50 mile ride is described as more challenging. The PAW'er Dog Walk requires registration only for the dog while accompanying humans may join without registering. Virtual entries include shipped items for some options.
