The L.A. Chinatown Firecracker is a weekend of run, walk, bike and family events held February 28 - March 1, 2026 in Los Angeles, CA 90012. The event is organized by L.A. Chinatown Firecracker Run Committee, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteers; proceeds are reinvested in local elementary schools and other nonprofit organizations. The 5K and 10K courses are USATF sanctioned. Virtual participation options are offered with a registration deadline of February 1, 2026.

Logistics and amenities
The published start line location is 943 N. Broadway in Chinatown. Water stations are placed on the 5K and 10K courses; the bike rides have two rest areas for water and snacks. Registered participants receive a custom Lunar New Year T-shirt, finisher medal, goodie bag and race bib. Other event amenities include refreshments at the finish (for participants with a bib), a free beer at the beer garden for those 21 and older, a Chow Mein carbo-load on Saturday, access to festival booths, and free bag check for bike participants and for run participants who arrive by Metro with a valid pass.
