8th Annual Kyle Miller First Day 5K : Creekside Plaza, Gahanna, OH
The First Day 5K is a community run established to raise funds for gift cards to purchase new shoes for local students entering the school year. Proceeds from the event support shoe purchases for the 2027 school year and are distributed through local elementary schools in Gahanna.
The event includes a main 5K and a short kids fun run. The run is not timed and organizers ask participants to follow signage and course marshals. There will be a water station at the course turn. Restroom facilities are available on the lower level of the plaza near the event setup.
Parking options in the Creekside area include public lots, street parking, and a parking garage adjacent to the race setup on Mill Street. Check-in requires a brief waiver form. An emcee will manage start-line organization, calling faster runners forward first and walkers to the rear. A limited number of extra event shirts may be available on the day of the event.
