Round the Airport - Anniversary Run

The Round the Airport / Anniversary Run is a charity running event held out of Kingston, Canada, associated with the Kingston Airport. The event includes two main races:

• 1 mile (Kids 1-Miler)
• 5 km

The race is part of the KRRA RACE SERIES and awards 100 series points overall and 20 points for age category standings. The Kids 1-Miler is included in the Kingston Kids Race Series. The event is also the last of three races in the Autumn Series; participants who run all three events receive an exclusive custom medal.

Participants receive tech shirts and there are awards and medals for top finishers in both races. The 5K awards top three male and female finishers and top three in age categories including 10-and-under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-plus. The event also offers a middle-of-the-pack prize, numerous draw prizes, and a $100 cash prize for any athlete who breaks the current course record, currently 14:52 for males and 16:44 for females. Registration for the Kids 1-Miler has a limited number of spots.

The Kids 1-Miler starts and finishes at the museum and follows a short loop through local streets. A course map is provided for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
