Kristy's Kindness 5K
This event is a 5 kilometre run held on 07/17/2027 that honors a local tradition of performing random acts of kindness year-round. Several years ago an individual began doing random acts of kindness between Thanksgiving and Christmas; after that person died in September 2021, a foundation was created to continue the mission throughout the year.
The run starts on the playground at Lebhart Elementary School in Cheyenne and follows a mostly flat out-and-back course that connects with the Cheyenne Greenway System. Participants run on the greenway to a marked turnaround called the "kindness point" and return to Lebhart Elementary for an optional celebration in the honoree's memory.
Packets will be available before the event at Foot of the Rockies and on race day at Lebhart Elementary. Virtual participants will have packets mailed once the final pieces of event swag are ready.
