Krewe de Loops 36
Krewe de Loops 36 is a 36-hour backyard-style endurance challenge held at Eightfold Farms, 1245 Old Plain Dealing Road, Benton, Louisiana, on January 23–24, 2027. Participants complete a 3.2 mile loop every hour, on the hour, for as long as they choose.
To remain in the challenge, runners must complete the 3.2 mile loop before the next hour begins, be inside the starting corral when the next horn sounds, begin each loop with the remaining Krewe, and check out with race officials when they stop. Missing the hourly cutoff or failing to answer the horn ends that runner’s challenge. There is no minimum distance required; every loop completed counts. At 3.2 miles per hour, the target pace to finish a loop within an hour is about an 18:45 per mile pace.
Typical distances by loop count include:
- 1 loop : 3.2 miles
- 2 loops : 6.4 miles
- 6 loops : 19.2 miles
- 9 loops : 28.8 miles
- 12 loops : 38.4 miles
- 18 loops : 57.6 miles
- 24 loops : 76.8 miles
- 30 loops : 96 miles
- 36 loops : 115.2 miles
A separate Mini Krewe 3.2 mile run is for ages 4–11 and follows the first loop alongside the ultra runners. Registration opens October 5, 2026 and closes January 9, 2027; fees listed are $185.00 for the 36 hour event and $35.00 for the Mini Krewe.
