Event
Knockmealdown Uphill is scheduled for Wednesday 13 May 2026 in County Waterford. The course length is 4.50 km with a climb of 536 m. The event is part of the Munster Uphill League and is rated Event Difficulty 3 (Easy Terrain). Major junctions only are marked. GPS devices are not allowed.
Logistics and requirements
The mandatory kit is Level B - Standard and includes:
- Waterproof jacket
- Hat or buff
- Gloves
- Whistle
- Charged mobile phone with emergency number stored
- Foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent
All runners must bring these items. The exact kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day and advised at registration. Runners should have means to carry the kit. Failure to have required items may result in denied entry or disqualification; random checks may be carried out.
Entry details have not yet been added; entries for league events usually open a couple of weeks before the event. Volunteers who complete two non-running roles in a calendar year qualify for the end of year prize. Volunteers who run should check requirements with the race director; volunteering while also running does not count toward the two non-running roles.
