Knock On Wood Trail Run/Hike - 13.1 & 10k
Knock On Wood Trail Run/Hike takes place at Camp Spearhead in Pleasant Ridge County Park, Marietta, SC on May 1, 2027. The event offers two distances and uses a single shaded trail loop for both races.
- 13.1 miles (two laps of the 10K loop)
- 10K (one lap of the loop)
The course is a roughly 10K singletrack loop with about 650 feet of rolling elevation per lap and more than 90% canopy cover. Directional arrows mark the route. The half marathon runs the 10K loop twice. One aid station is located at the main shelter and is passed on every lap. The event is cup-less; participants are expected to use their own hydration vessels. Available on-course refreshments include water, Coke, ginger ale and a selection of snacks such as pickles, cookies, chips, candy, Fig Newtons, and pretzels.
Race services include chip timing with live results, a custom race bib, a race-branded finisher medal, a custom race tattoo, event-themed giveaways, and free professional photos typically posted within 48–72 hours. The first 100 participants receive custom race socks. Awards include trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and age-group medals for the top three in each of 15 categories. The event supports Defenders for Children and is part of the Upstate Giving Series.
Parking and packet pickup are at the main shelter at Camp Spearhead. Dogs are allowed on course when leashed and headphones are permitted. There is a 4-hour time limit for the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
