Knock On Wood Trail Run/Hike
The Knock On Wood Trail Run/Hike takes place at Pleasant Ridge County Park within Camp Spearhead in Marietta, South Carolina. The course consists of a 10 km singletrack trail loop that features approximately 650 feet of rolling elevation gain per lap. The terrain is characterized by a consistent rhythm and is more than 90% shaded by the forest canopy. Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 13.1 Miles (two loops)
- 10 km (one loop)
The event follows a cup-less format, meaning participants must bring their own hydration vessels. An aid station is located at the main shelter and is accessible during each loop, offering water, soda, and various snacks such as pickles, cookies, chips, and pretzels. The course is marked with directional arrows to guide runners and hikers through the woods.
All finishers receive a medal, a custom race bib, and a race sticker. The first 100 participants are provided with custom race socks. A post-race celebration includes music, professional photography, and a party at the finish line. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as to the top three in numerous age categories ranging from under 9 to over 80. The event is part of a series that supports local nonprofit organizations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
