Knight Run - Buena Vista
Knight Run takes place at Southern Virginia University in Buena Vista on October 31, 2026 as part of Homecoming weekend. The event program includes a community 5 kilometer race and a short obstacle course for children.

Registration for the events opens June 15, 2026. Early bird pricing for the 5 km is $30 through September 30, 2026; regular pricing is $35 after that date. The kids obstacle course has no entry fee. Registration for the 5 km closes September 30, 2026 and registration for the obstacle course closes October 31, 2026.
The day features a post-race celebration with food trucks, live music, family activities, an alumni tailgate with yard games, and a college football game at Knight Stadium later that day. A costume contest will be held with categories such as fastest runner in costume, best group costume, scariest, most creative, funniest, best school spirit, best dressed, and Best Dressed Kid.
Awards are presented for 1st through 3rd overall, 1st through 3rd men, 1st through 3rd women, and 1st through 3rd Junior Knights under 10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
