10th Annual KJ's 5K for Mental Health and Animal Rescue
This event is a community 5K hosted at Portage Lakes State Park in Akron, Ohio on October 3, 2026. The program includes an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option that can be completed off-site between September 1 and October 4.

Registration opens June 30, 2026. In-person registration closes August 30, 2026; virtual registration closes October 3, 2026. In-person fees vary by age and registration date, with listed tiers for youth and adults. The virtual entry fee is $30, with an optional $5 charge to mail a race packet. Race packets include a custom event t-shirt and a custom finishers medal for virtual participants; t-shirt sizes are offered from youth large through adult 3X-Large, with size requests guaranteed only for registrations completed by September 15.
Awards are given to the overall top three men, top three women, and top three youth. Proceeds benefit local mental health and animal rescue efforts, including Portage Path Behavioral Health and select animal charities.
