Kitchener Kids with Cancer 2026
The event takes place on September 19, 2026 at Kiwanis Park, 1000 Kiwanis Park Drive, Kitchener, Ontario. It includes races for adults and a short race for children, and supports the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario.
Distances offered:
- 5 KM Run / Walk
- 10 KM Run (two loops of the 5 KM route)
- Kids 200 m for children age 7 and under
- Future Runner (stroller occupant) free, must be registered
The 5 KM course is one loop with an out-and-back section; the 10 KM race completes two loops. The entire route runs within Kiwanis Park and is mostly on dirt trails. Each kilometre is marked and visible. Water stations: 1 on the 5 KM course and 3 on the 10 KM course. Courses are certified. Runners must stay to the right on trail sections. Volunteers and participants can park on the park grounds. Animals are permitted in the park but not on the run or walk.
The first 700 entrants receive a technical t-shirt; no t-shirts are available for race day entries. A finisher medal is awarded to all finishers. Computerized timing will provide results on race day and afterwards. The post-race area includes refreshments provided with entry, musical entertainment, and food trucks for additional purchases.
