The Kirkintilloch Festival Fun Run is a 5k event on 15 February 2026. The route is an out-and-back on quiet country roads close to Kirkintilloch, starting and finishing at Gartconner Primary School, Gartshore Road, Kirkintilloch G66 3TH. The course is described as undulating and more challenging than many Parkruns. The run is open to anyone aged over 11. The event forms part of the Kirkintilloch Festival of Running; a half marathon and a 12.5k take place on the same day and participants may enter only one event.
Entry, timing and facilities
Entries must be made in advance; there is no entry on the day. The race is limited to 100 runners. Entry fees are £8 for SAL-registered competitors and £10 for others, with discounted pricing available until 13 February for members of SA EA WA. The race is chip timed and chips are distributed alongside race numbers at collection before the event. Facilities are limited to portable toilets outside the school; there are no showers and organisers have no access to the school. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up.
