Robert Rogerson 12.5k

The Robert Rogerson 12.5 km is a road race held on 14 February 2027 near Kirkintilloch. The route runs on quiet country roads close to Kirkintilloch and includes hilly sections that provide an opportunity to test winter training. The course is accurately measured and the event is SA licensed and held under UKA rules.

The race starts and finishes outside Gartconner Primary School on Gartshore Road, with the course clearly marked. Number pickup and chip collection take place outside the school at the club gazebo; facilities are limited to portable toilets and there is no access to the school building or showers. The event is chip timed and timing chips are distributed alongside race numbers.

The race forms part of the Kirkintilloch Festival of Running, held the same day as a half marathon and a 5 km charity fun run. Entrants may enter only one of the festival events. Entry is limited to 350 runners and there is no entry on the day. Entry fees are SAL registered £13 and others £16, with the discounted price valid until 12 February 2027.

Prizes in cash or vouchers will be awarded to the first, second and third male and female finishers, with age group prizes sent by post. All finishers receive a Festival of Running memento.
