Event overview
The Kirkbymoorside 10K is an annual road race held in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. The event includes the main 10 kilometres race, two children’s races and a 4K for secondary-age children and fun runners. The event is staged to raise funds for the PTA groups of Kirkbymoorside CP School and Gillamoor CE School. The Beadlam Tractor Run also passes through the town earlier in the day to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and the town brass band performs during the afternoon.
Course and facilities
The main race is a single-lap, road course described as hilly and is listed as suitable for wheelchairs; wheelchair users are asked to contact the organiser prior to entry. Facilities at race HQ (Kirkbymoorside Memorial Hall) and on course include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and a baggage store. Showers are not available.
Entry and organiser
Entry is limited to 500 runners with places remaining noted at the time of the listing. Entry fees are: affiliated £23.00 and unaffiliated £25.00; on-the-day entry may be available for an additional £5.00 if the event has not sold out.
