Event overview
The Kirkbymoorside 10K is an annual road race held in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire. The event includes a main 10 kilometre race, two children’s races and a 4K for secondary-age children and fun runners. The event is staged to raise money for the PTA groups of Kirkbymoorside CP School and Gillamoor CE School; funds are used to support local pupils' educational activities. The day also features the Beadlam Tractor Run raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and musical support from the Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band.
Course, entries and facilities
The race is a single-lap road course with a hilly profile and a downhill finish through the town with spectators lining the street. The event has an entry limit of 500. Entry fees listed are: Unaffiliated £25.00 and Affiliated £23.00. If the event does not sell out, entry on the day is listed as available at no additional cost. The event is listed as suitable for wheelchairs; wheelchair users are asked to contact the organiser prior to entry.
Facilities at race headquarters, Kirkbymoorside Memorial Hall, include water stations, distance markers, toilets, changing facilities and a baggage store. Showers are not provided.
