Kintore Summer Festival Fun 5K
The event is organised by the Kintore Summer Festival to raise funds for the festival. It takes place in Kintore and uses the Kintore School playing fields for the start and finish.
This is a FUN 5 km event with no official timing and no podium or prizes. The full route is 5 km, but participants who cannot complete the whole distance may do a single loop of the castle instead. A medal will be given to all entrants at the finish.
Water will not be provided in order to minimise plastic waste; participants are asked to bring their own. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times for insurance purposes; one adult may run with multiple children. The event welcomes both runners and walkers, and organisers ask those not planning to run to start at the rear of the field to reduce initial congestion.
