King of the Mountain - Perth
King of the Mountain on Sunday 13 June 2027 is a loop trail run of 16.1 km that starts and finishes at Helena Valley Primary School. The main loop runs anticlockwise up the mountain on the north side of the valley and returns via a route south of Helena Valley Road after crossing a creek.
Runners will encounter a creek crossing, a roughly 1.5 km main ascent to a granite outcrop called The Mountain, and a ridgeline section that reaches the course high point before a steep, rough and rocky descent. The route includes varied surfaces such as sealed road, sloping tracks, single-track sections and fire breaks with rough, rocky ground in places. The course will be well marked and there will be nine marshalled locations.
There is no drinking water on course; participants must carry their own hydration. A drink station and breakfast including hot soup are provided at the finish area. Parking near the school is limited and carpooling is encouraged. Registrations are available online until 13 June 2027 at 07:30 AM unless sold out, with a late registration penalty applying from the Saturday before the event for non-members. Course cut off is 10:30 AM.
Members should wear their club cloth bib and timing chip. Non-members receive a bib number by email the Friday before and can collect their bib from 7 AM on event day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
