The King of the Hill Triathlon : Kinsale, 18 July 2026
The King of the Hill triathlon in Kinsale is scheduled for 18 July 2026 with entry via the Triathlon Ireland website. The event follows the standard swim-bike-run order and uses local coastal and inland roads around Kinsale and Ballinaspittle.
The course begins with a sheltered swim at Dock Beach, continues on an undulating bike route that passes the Speckled Door and the beaches of Garylucas and Garretstown, returns inland through the village of Ballinaspittle and its moving statue, and finishes with an out-and-back run over Castlepark hill.
Distances are:
- 750 m swim at Dock Beach
- 23 km bike via Speckled Door and the beaches of Garylucas and Garretstown
- 5 km out-and-back run over Castlepark hill
