Kinderhook OK5K : event details
The Kinderhook OK5K is holding its 26th edition in Kinderhook, NY. The main event is a certified 5K that is chip-timed and open to walkers. Proceeds are designated for local non-profit organizations.
Race distances and youth events:
- 5K certified course, chip-timed.
- 1 Mile Run for ages 4-12, free.
- 100 yard D.A.Y.S.I. Dash for differing abilities, free.
Entry fees and discounts are stated for advance and late registration. The 5K fee is $25 until May 31 and increases to $30 after May 31. KRC and USATF members receive a $5 discount. Students 18 and under pay $15 until May 31 and $22 after May 31; the discounted student rate is applied automatically when eligible. A limited number of complementary entries are available for those who cannot afford the fee; requests are handled by the organizers.
Packet pickup is at the James Vanderpoel House of History, 16 Broad St, Kinderhook, NY 12106, with sessions on the day before the event and the morning of the event. Awards are presented to overall male and female finishers and in five year age groups for first through third places.
