Kinderhook OK5k
Kinderhook OK5k is an annual community running event in the Hudson Valley / Capital District that has run for more than two decades. All proceeds are donated to local non-profit and charitable organizations; over its history the race has provided more than $185,000 to local groups in the region.
The event features a USATF-certified, fast, flat 5K course and holds USATF Grand Prix series status. The race is supported by over 50 local sponsors and hundreds of volunteers and spectators. Main sponsors and partners have included local businesses and timing partners that support event operations.
Race formats at the event include:
- 5K on a USATF-certified, fast, flat course.
- Kid's 1-Mile out-and-back course.
- D.A.Y.S.I. Dash 100 meter race for individuals with developmental disabilities; bib shirt medal provided free.
