Kilmacolm Running Festival 2026
The Kilmacolm Running Festival takes place on Sunday 13th September 2026 at Birkmyre Park Fitness Gym in Kilmacolm. The event is described as one of the biggest participation events in Inverclyde's sporting calendar.
The festival features four different activities:
- Half Marathon
- 10K Run
- 3K Run
- Toddle Woddle (a family-friendly fun walk/run)
The Half Marathon and 10K are run on scenic routes through Kilmacolm village and the surrounding countryside. The Half Marathon starts at 10:00am, with a minimum age of 16. The 10K starts at 10:30am, also with a minimum age of 16. The 3K starts at 9:15am, with entrants under 9 required to be accompanied by an adult. The Toddle Woddle starts at 9:00am.
Online entries close on 19th August 2026. Pre-registered online entrants are guaranteed an official event T-shirt in their race pack. On-the-day entries are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Registration on race day opens at 8:00am and closes 20 minutes before each race start time. All pre-registered runners must check in on the day to collect their race pack, which includes a race number with an embedded electronic timing chip.
The event is a Scottish Athletics Championship race. There are prizes for the top three male and female finishers in the Half Marathon and 10K, and age category prizes for the 3K. Medals are given to all Toddle Woddle participants.
Facilities include three water stations on the 10K and Half Marathon routes, bottled water at the finish line, marshals on the course, first aid cover, and toilet and changing facilities at Birkmyre Park.
