EpicTrails 10km - Exploring trails by head torch
This event on 19 November 2026 is a guided trail run of 10 km that starts and finishes at Milngavie Train Station, G62 8PG. The route uses local paths and tracks, including sections of the Clyde Coastal path and the West Highland Way, and other nearby trails. The run will begin in daylight but it is anticipated that it will be dark or getting dark by the time the group finishes.
Runs are led by a guide who is qualified, experienced, insured and first aid trained. These are social runs rather than races: no one is left behind, the group will regroup at various points, and group sizes are managed to support safety. Dogs and people under 18 are not permitted because they are not covered by the event insurance.
Mandatory kit will be detailed in the run brief and varies by route and season. Items that are always required are trail shoes and a head torch; participants without required kit will not be permitted to run. The listed entry price is £3 and total places are limited to 14. The event is organised on a not for profit basis; fees first cover costs and any surplus is donated periodically to a local charity.
