Kids in Capes 5K and Fun Run

The event is a community running event held at Thompson Park in Upper Arlington, Ohio, organized by the Callahan Murphy Hare Foundation to benefit pediatric cancer research grants. The main course is a mostly flat 5K route through North Upper Arlington that begins and ends at Thompson Park. Shorter on-site options include a kids dash and a 1 mile fun run that take place within the park.

Post-race activities on site are family oriented and include bounce houses, yard games, an obstacle course, cape and mask decorating, face painting, an interactive community art project, a silent auction, and a bake sale. Race registration includes a race shirt, swag bag, coffee, water, a banana, and access to the post-race activities.

Awards for the 5K include Fleet Feet gift cards for the top three overall finishers. A virtual participation option is offered. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Fleet Feet, 1344 W Lane Ave, Columbus, OH 43221. Registration fees vary within a stated range, and race registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
