Kick'n The Kilt 5K & 8K

The Kick'n The Kilt 5K & 8K is a running and walking event held in St. Charles, Illinois. The event starts at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church on North 5th Avenue. Participants can choose between two primary distances for the in-person race:

• 5K
• 8K

The 8K distance is a new addition to the event schedule for the current year. Registration remains open until shortly before the event begins on race day. In addition to the physical races, a virtual participation option is available. Virtual participants can complete their chosen distance of 5K or 8K at a location of their choice during a designated window in March. Results for virtual runs can be submitted manually or tracked via mobile applications.

The event features an after-party which requires a separate ticket. This gathering includes a food tent and beverage options, with specific tickets available for adults that include alcohol or soft drinks. Participants can also engage in fundraising for the Rising Lights Project. The event provides medals and awards for participants, and details regarding parking and local hotel information are available for those traveling to St. Charles. Packet pickup is organized both on the day of the race and at a pre-race location in St. Charles in the days leading up to the event. Dogs and strollers are permitted at the event.
